New Friends

Last week we had a fun visit from the Fishman family and introduced Emma and Olivia!  These little gals chatted away and plotted their activities for their first trip to Green Lake, WI in just a few days! Cannot wait for some fun in the sun!

We also found a fun form of entertainment for Emma- herself :)

Happy 5 Months!

Emma would like to give a birthday shout out to her Aunt Jules today and a belated shout out to her cousin Jeff- hope you had a good birthday yesterday!  It's hard to believe that a whopping five months have past but we have loved every minute with Miss Emma.  Holding to tradition, here is her monthly bday photo shoot with bloopers included!

For a little comparison, here are a couple of her one month pics:

Keeping cool

Whew, has it been a hot few days!  We have loved Boston because even though it is seasonal it has much less of the extremes when it comes to the weather.  But unfortunately this past week we too have been suffering the 90 degree heat.  To keep cool we have been doing...

a lot of playing indoors

sitting in our Bumbo

swinging

eating at P.F. Chang's :)

more playing

and of course, chillaxin in a cool bath!

Emma really enjoyed story time this week at our Next Step class!

 Just love that Brown Bear...

 He saw what?!

Riding Rody and eating his ears, yum!

Jack Swanson takes on Boston!

The three of us are still recovering from a super fun visit from my nephew Jack and my parents.  During their short visit we crammed in a lot!!! Jack will be taking AP History this fall so what better way to get him started than by showing him where so much of it took place. We zipped all over Boston and made some fun road trips to Lexington, Concord, Salem, and Quincy.  Jack was such a trooper!  His least favorite part of the trip was taking pictures but here are some of the few that I managed to get away with!

Faneuil Hall

 Paul Revere's House

Old North Church behind Paul Revere

Minute Man statue at Lexington Green

Lexington Green
North Bridge in Concord

 USS Constitution

Patrick and I learned something new- John & Abigial Adams and John Quincy Adams and his wife Louisa Catherine are buried in Quincy, MA and you can go right into the family crypt! Holy cow, we were not expecting this!  I think John and Abigail Adams are two of the most impressive people I've read about (to say the least) so this was really incredible.

John & Abigail's later home

Jack also got his first taste of corporate life and ran the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge with Patrick and team Citadel!

Go Dad, go!

Please note I've been training Emma for pointe class- look at that form already!

And no visitors ever leave us without a lobster dinner :)  This was Jack's favorite meal of course!

Thanks so much Grandma for watching this little one!  Fun times were had by all!
