Busy, Busy, Busy!

Yesterday was a very exciting day for the Finn girls- it was the first day of our Next Step class! Next Step is the next class after a Great Beginnings class that we finished about a month ago.  Both are an eight week long series that meet once a week for a couple hours at a baby store in the Prudential Center.  Great Beginnings is for new moms and newborns where most of the class time was spent discussing everything that went along with being a new mom...  You can only imagine how quickly friendships were made over that kind of a bonding experience!  Towards the end of the eight weeks, we were not only doing lunch beforehand but after class we would stroll our babies into a bar that had outside seating and do appetizers and a drink :)  Here are some pictures from the last day of our Great Beginnings class:

Unfortunately only Liz & Max (we love Liz and Max- seated right below Emma and me in the picture) are in our Next Steps class.  But Emma and I are going to work hard on not losing touch with our fabulous Great Beginnings friends and are excited about the new friends we made yesterday.  Next Steps seems to devote more time to baby friendly activities such as singing and reading which Emma really loves.  I am sure there will be much more postings regarding our Next Step classes!

Last night was also the first night for the Landmark Orchestra Classical Concerts at the Hatch Shell.  They have these concerts every Wednesday during the summer and we are hoping to make it to most of them this year.  It was a gorgeous evening for a picnic dinner while listening to some classical music.  Emma loved the quality time with her mom and dad and got to hang out with her friend Grace.  Grace showed her how fun stacking cups and spoons can be! We also saw Aidan (located in the top middle of the pictures above) and Liam (in the overalls next to Aidan in the pictures above)!

Papa, Grandma, and Cousin Jack made it to Boston late last night- we are so excited for their visit!  This morning and afternoon we did a Freedom Trail tour.  Our tour guide was quite the character!

And by Freedom Trail tour, I mean only the first mile or so :)  We ended in Faneuil Hall and had a late lunch at The Union Oyster House...nothing beats a cup of clam chowder!
