HOT days!

Boston weather has been all over the map this spring.  We went from a very cold Memorial Day weekend (I was tempted to turn our heat on) to a string of 90 degree heat the following weekend.  In order to keep cool we had to hit up our local water attractions!  On Friday night Emma hung out with her friend William in the fountains on the Greenway.  Her parents topped the night off with a pizza and cannoli from the neighboring North End.

She spent Saturday evening chatting it up poolside with Grace.  We are so happy that the pool on the esplanade opened up for the summer.

Emma got a kick out of crawling around in the water.

Pretty soon she will be running around with the older kids!

Before we met Grace and her parents at the pool, we swung by Patrick's office to retrieve a travel bag.  Here is Emma at her dad's command post.

In other news, the tulips are gone in the Public Gardens and replaced with some fun flowers that remind us of Horton Hears a Who!

On bath nights Emma is allowed to get all messy in the sand box at the Clarendon Street Playground.  She could spend hours in the sand box if we let her.

It's duckling time!!! We love the sound of their sweet little cheeps! Emma really does enjoy watching them but in this picture she is busy eating the cheerios that we had been sharing with the ducklings.

Clifford came to the public library for story time.  For those of you who have seen a video clip of Emma and her favorite page, imagine her reaction times ten!  That is what happened when Clifford made his appearance :) I wish I would have captured that on video!

From one celeb sighting (Clifford, of course), to another.  On our way home we noticed all the streets surrounding the Taj hotel had been closed off and there was some serious security all around it.  A little sweet talking to one of the police officers revealed not only was Michelle Obama in the Taj hotel (for a Ed Markey fundraiser) but if I wanted to see her I was standing in the wrong place.  She left out the back door and hopped into a waiting car in the ally that zoomed her off to the airport.  Thanks to the police officer, Emma, who was sound asleep, and I were at the right place to see her go by!
