Someone celebrated his 30th birthday again this year :) Emma surprised him by arranging a babysitter for the night and I surprised him with dinner reservations at Capital Grille. We lived it up and stayed out way beyond our usual Tuesday night bedtime! Emma thought birthday parties are a blast and was fascinated by her first exposure to fire.
She really enjoyed helping her dad open up his gifts. She loves the taste of paper and apparently was trying to tell us she needs more fiber in her diet.
On a side note, Emma is loving trying new foods! We tried some avocado (see pics below) after a few days of rice cereal and she is still not 100% sure what to make of it. However, she really likes bananas and tonight we tried out sweet potatoes which are a huge hit!
Last Wednesday was our last Next Step class :( Hard to believe eight weeks went by so quickly. Of course Emma and I had to sign up for the next class (Scooters) to lift our spirits.
We were missing some friends due to summer schedules but here is the traditional last day of class picture. Emma loved playing with Vivienne and William and she is excited that William is doing Scooters with her.
